The Gasthof Buttermilchalm has 8 cozy, traditionally furnished double rooms and 1 triple room.

On our large terrace, you can enjoy the sun and the view on the mountain panorama and St. Martin.
Your children will have fun on our playground with trampoline, climbing frame, swings and slide.
For cars, motorcycles and buses, there is ample parking on our property. Bicycle racks are located directly at the house.
Both the access road to the Buttermilchalm and the parking lots are cleared and scattered in winter.
Bed and breakfast for children aged 0 to 7 years in their parents’ room costs € 10 per night.
Children aged 8 to 13 years receive a 25% discount on the normal price.
For single occupancy of a double or triple room we charge extra costs of € 10 per person per night.
For short stays up to 3 days we charge extra costs of € 5 per person per night.
A cleaning fee of € 8 per night is charged per dog.
Our toboggan run is equipped with floodlight and starts right next to our and ends in the village center. It is about 2 kilometers long and a pleasure for old and young!
Further unlit toboggan runs in St. Martin lead from the Höllalm, the Sittleralm and the stalk material into the valley.
If you do not want to walk uphill, try the Karkogelbahn in Abtenau. Prices and opening times can be found on the website of the tourist office Abtenau.
A great fun is the snowtubing – you slide on top of big air-filled tires over the groomed snow. A lift will take you to the departure points. Then it goes along a length of about 400 meters down through the snow channel at speeds that give you the feeling of hovering over the slopes. The snow tubing system is also equipped with floodlights.

St. Martins ski area with mild and moderate slopes is perfect for beginners, families and returners. One of the slopes is located right next to the Buttermilchalm.
The Skischule Freeride Alpin Annaberg, Skischule Werfenweng and Skischule Eben offer ski courses for adults and children. SPORTmax is the ski shop of St. Martin as well as the ski rental.
Experienced skiers can go by car or the free ski bus in a few minutes to the ski resort Dachstein West or Ski Amadé, Austria’s greatest skiing paradise.
Even in winter you can summit the top of the mountains! The Skischule Werfenweng offers guided ski mountaineering tours with qualified guides and trial tours in the hillside landscape.
If you do not know yet: Ski mountaineering is climbing mountains either on skis or carrying them, and then descending on skis ideally off groomed snow.
The network of cross-country skiing trails of St. Martin with its more than 30 kilometers of easy and medium-heavy is daily groomed and will make your heart miss a beat. Both the skating style and the classic style are allowed.
On gentle hillsides and challenging climbs, you can ski over alps and through forests to the higher trails with a view of the Tennengebirge and Dachsteinmassiv.
Start to snowshoeing around the village, and take a break with hot tea in an alpine cabin.
Travel with your dog? – No problem, because in St. Martin there are many cleared winter walks, where you can enjoy nature together with your beloved four-legged friend.

Warmly wrapped in woolen blankets, you can really relax on a sleigh ride and enjoy the surroundings of St. Martin.

Are you in the mood to take sauna? Then visit one of the spas in the neighborhood of St. Martin.
The Aqua Salza in Golling combines the saunas and the Beauty World with a family-friendly waterpark. Sauna nights, Kaiserbad and massages invite you to relax.
The Therme Spa Amadé offers you a generously arranged pool area, a variety of sauna rooms and a – among others – a unique, thrilling looping slide. Most of the pools contain saline water. Because of the pleasant water temperature of the outdoor pools you can even swim outside in winter.
A real spectacle from mid-November to mid-December are the Krampus runs, where Krampusse with horned masks, rattling chains and bells swan through the streets – also in St. Martin!
Those who prefer it more peacefully can make a detour to the Salzkammergut on the evening of the 5th of January to marvel at the Glöckler Parade.

Visit the Seepark in the center of St. Martin! The waterpark is a biological bathing lake with fresh spring water, has a water surface of 6700 square meters and is surrounded by a park. Enjoy:
Anglers can have a nice time in St. Martin. Professionals can fish in the Lammer-Schöberlbach-Karbach waters (on a length of about 5.4 kilometers) from 1 April to 30 September.
Beginners can take part in a fishing session every Friday (late May to early October) and every Saturday (July and August) from 12.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m., with the team of the Alpengasthof Lämmerhof providing advice and assistance. The large catch is fried for you and served with bread and salad.

The annual highlights in the summer season are the Almtanz at the Schöberlalm in July, the Almroas in August and the HeuArt-Fest in September!
The Almroas (alp journey) takes place at the same time on the Buttermilchalm, the Schöberlalm, the Karalm and the Spiessalm, which are connected by wonderful hiking trails. Four bands playing Austrian folk music will lift the spirits at the alpine cabins, while the culinary delights are served by dairymaids.
